Abstract:

This paper aims to explore the impact of positive psychology principles on reducing recidivism rates. It analyzes three distinct methods of positive psychology interventions grounded in the PERMA theory, which focuses on individual well-being.

The findings indicate that positive psychology plays a crucial role in promoting positive emotions and increasing the happiness of offenders.

It is recommended that authorities take into account the fundamental psychological needs of offenders and consider ways to address them. Additionally, there should be an increased incorporation of positive psychology in intervention strategies to further improve the well-being of those involved.
